Chilean Ambassador Fernandez Visits LeBow

On Friday, March 7, Mariano Fernández, Chile’s ambassador to the US  visited with LeBow students who will be traveling to Santiago during their term break. Ambassador Fernández was accompanied by Rolando Ortega, Economic Counselor from the Embassy of Chile and Ben Leavenworth, Honorary Consul of Chile in Philadelphia. Ambassador Fernández fielded questions from the students that ranged from Chilean customs not used in the US (kissing people rather than shaking hands with them), to free trade and the political situation in Latin America today.

After the 90 minute question and answer session, the Ambassador joined the students for a reception.
